Mechatronics Engineer

Morse Micro is shaping the future of Wi-Fi technology for the multi-billion dollar Internet of Things markets. At Morse Micro you will be working with experienced professionals and engineers, some of whom are the team that invented the original Wi-Fi technology that is ubiquitous today.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Morse Micro evaluation kits
  • Design test jigs to optimize and/or automate the assembly and testing processes for Morse Micro products
  • Develop and design packaging solutions for various products
  • Support R&D and Engineering in developing prototypes and verification/validation activities
  • Draft electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Develop and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation
  • Write Python scripts to automate programming and testing procedures
  • Troubleshoot technical issues relating to hardware, firmware and software

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Degree in Engineering specializing in Mechatronics/Electronics/Industrial Design or relevant certification.
  • Experience designing electro-mechanical products, circuits and assemblies
  • Experience programming efficient test scripts using Python or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with CAD software such as Fusion 360 and Solidworks.
  • Knowledge and experience of radio-communication technologies and/or IOT devices is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced team, with priorities often changing.
  • Strong ability to multitask, meet deadlines and handle pressure.
  • “Can do” attitude and willingness to help in a variety of tasks, including occasional tasks unrelated to the core role.
